The Children & Family Services Unit is designed to assist families at a time when developmental stages and mental health issues affect family functioning. Therapists and Case Managers provide office based and home based outpatient services. Psychiatric services are provided to augment whole person care, i.e. psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring. CFC works collaboratively with other community agencies to address problems that affect families systemically.
For more than 25 years, counselors and licensed therapists have continued Circle Family Care's mission of whole person care. Through individual and family counseling, family dysfunction cycles are being broken and parent/child relationships are being restored.
The Child & Adolescent Counseling program provides outpatient psychological counseling for children between the ages of 4-17 and their families. This program targets those children experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems, who are at risk of hospitalization and/or removal from home or school.
Through a School-based program, a joint partnership between community schools and Circle Family Care, staff have augmented the education process to better serve students by providing on-site counseling, therapy and outreach services for at-risk students.
The Parent Training Program was developed to help families increase their parenting skills as related to family issues and problems. Parents learn basic parenting skills including effective communication, stress and behavior management.
