Our patient-centered programs and services are dedicated to assessing your medical, nutritional, physical, psychosocial and emotional needs. Circle Family Care helps afford our patients the assistance needed for lives of quality.
Circle Family Care (CFC) Board of Directors announced Reuben J. Pettiford as appointed Chief Executive Officer effective February 13, 2006. He will succeed Leonard (Len) Sharber, former CEO, who passed away on June 29th 2005.
A lengthy and thorough selection process, which consisted of both internal and external candidates, resulted in the search committee's selection of Mr. Pettiford as the organization's next Chief Executive. Mr. Pettiford has 16 years experience working in all aspects of community health centers and has gained a thorough understanding of the business. "He is an effective leader with a keen ability to develop new programs and services. Reuben has a highly motivational, developmental and collaborative leadership style, which adds to our existing team," says Board Chair, Ms. Camille Lilly.
Mr. Pettiford believes that everyone deserves the right to affordable, quality health care and social services and stresses that we are in the Business of providing health care to those most in need. He plans to carry on the legacy left by Len Sharber by helping to ensure that not only more of our residents have access to the services that CFC provides but ultimately to improve the overall health status of the community.
For the past eight years, Mr. Pettiford has been CEO of two health Centers in Michigan, where he was successful in helping them to forge a new strategic direction.
Mr. Pettiford obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from State University of New York at Buffalo, and a Masters of Public Administration with concentration in Health Care Administration from Baruch College in New York City.
Reuben is a native of New York, married and the father of three children.
